In November 6th 2012, leadership of HIDS received The French General Consulate - Mr. Fabrice Maurie’s -  to visit and work with HIDS.

On behalf of the Institute, Deputy Director Nguyen Thi Hau expressed her pleasure to welcome Mr. Fabrice Maurie’s. He also briefed the overview of the socio-economic situation of Ho Chi Minh City, as well as the role and the position of the city to the region and the country. Next, Mr. Le Van Thanh, Head of Cultural And Social Studies Deparment discussed with Mr. Fabrice Maurie`s about the labor, unemployment and immigration situation of the city in the current period.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Fabrice thanked to warm reception of HIDS and wished to have long-term cooperation with HIDS. It is hoped that the visit would promote the bilateral relations between France and Vietnam (in general) and in particular with HCM City in the near future.
